ACERD (Association Congolaise pour les Énergies Renouvelables et Décentralisées) is an independent non-profit organization working in the renewable energy industry in the DRC.
Created in July 2018, during its first General Assembly, ACERD is made up of various local, regional and international companies which, are supporting development through their work in the DRC’s renewable and decentralized energy sector.
ACERD’s main role is to promote sustainable development solutions and techniques through the products and services offered by the members of the association. ACERD hopes to become a leading association in the renewable and decentralized energy industry by supporting viable and sustainable markets, and by promoting compliance with high standards:
- Consumer products designed for the needs of the population;
- Products and services of exceptional quality;
- Greater access for Congolese households, businesses and communities to renewable and decentralized energy to help accelerate their development
